Raising[]

Main article: Coop#Animals

Chicks can be placed into a Coop to be raised. The speed that they grow up is affected by their happiness and diet. To keep them happy they need to be pet once per day and have enough food to eat, and the coop needs to be kept clear of animal feces. Animals can be pet more than once per day, but there doesn't seem to be any additional effect. The coop also has troughs that need to have enough food in them for them to eat. Different foods provide a different amount of growth points. All coop livestock gain the same benefits from the same food. The livestock's mood and growth will be shown over its head. The growth percentage has to reach 120% before it is fully grown.

Once fully grown, a Chicken will still have to be pet and fed daily, but will then produce one Egg and one Tail Feather per day. A fully grown Chicken can be sold for significantly more than a baby Chick.

Ack and other helpers are not able to pet farm animals, but they are able to replenish the animals' food so long as food is supplied in a Helper's Storage Box that the helpers can physically reach.

See Coop for more information on food growth points.
