After the DLC is downloaded, the items will be attached to a letter in the player's mailbox. Upon accepting the items, all of them will flood into the player's inventory. Prior to accepting the items, it is highly recommended to craft and place a Wooden Storage (or other high-capacity storage item) and/or increase the inventory capacity enough to hold all of the clothing, with 24 items in total.

The player can change their outfits via the Social menu through a new tab called "Attires" and enable the new outfit option; the NPCs will wear the new outfits the following day. Both attires can be selected to allow for randomization each day. When choosing the new outfits, the player can opt out of showing the NPCs hat.
The player can also match outfits with one of the NPCs, if they have installed the Player Attire Package DLC.
