Fire Powered Generator is used to power Furnaces and other Crafting stations via the connection by Conductive Wooden Flooring and/or Conductive Igneous Floor. When fueled, it can power two crafting stations at 100% capacity. When powering more than 2 crafting stations, all stations connected decrease in efficiency meaning crafting times are increased.

Obtaining[]

In order to craft the Fire Powered Generator the player needs to obtain its diagram first. To do so the player would need to give 10 Data Discs to Petra at the Research Center and wait for 7 days before obtaining this blueprint in the mail.

Fire Powered Generator can be crafted using the Assembly Station:

Usage[]

Fire Powered Generator is used to power other crafting stations. It can also be requested in a commission or donated.

Commission[]

Fire Powered Generator is occasionally requested on the Commissions Board in a Rank S commission.

Crafting station[]

The Fire Powered Generator, as well as the crafting stations connected to it, must be placed on top of Conductive Wooden Flooring and/or Conductive Igneous Floor in order to provide power to machines. Crafting stations powered by both Wood and Power Stones can be powered by the generator.

The generator can power multiple crafting stations, however, when there are more than two stations connected, the power generated to each is decreased, meaning the generator becomes less efficient and it will take longer to finish crafting. The optimum amount of crafting stations connected to a single generator is two active crafting stations per generator. The table below shows the percentage of power generated to each station based on how many are powered on the same generator. Note that it only applies to crafting stations that are actually crafting, or using power. If 5 stations are connected to the same generator and only 2 are currently crafting, then the power to each will still be 100%. The other 3 will have no effect until the player starts crafting with them also. To help equalize the power, additional generators can be connected to the same grouping of crafting stations, should the player choose to do so.

The Stone Furnace is the only powered item that cannot be powered by Fire Powered Generators.

Percentage of power supplied per crafting station
Fire Powered Generator Number of generators connected to the same grouping of crafting stations
1 2 3 4 5
Cog Number of crafting stations connected to the generator(s) 1 100 100 100 100 100
2 100 100 100 100 100
3 44 100 100 100 100

10 4 16 36 64 100
11 3 13 29 52 82
12 2 11 25 44 69
Notes:
  • Higher numbers are better. Lower numbers indicate decreased efficiency and thus longer crafting times.
  • "100" means that the given amount of generator(s) are able to power the given amount of active crafting station(s) at 100% efficiency.

Powering[]

The generator has a maximum time of 12,000 minutes (8d 8h).
