Metal Storage can be placed in the player's workshop, requested in a commission, or gifted.

One Metal Storage is required to complete No Job Too Small.

Metal Storage is occasionally requested on the Commissions Board as Rank B commission.

Metal Storage can be placed on the ground anywhere inside the player's house or their yard. The player can store items inside. Metal Storage has 30 storage slots.
It is possible to customize the name and color of each Metal Storage placed in the workshop. The name can be changed by interacting with it, while the color can be changed by interacting with it while holding Pigments in an active item slot.
Any Metal Storage can be upgraded to a Safety Box in place by interacting with it while holding a new storage box in an active item slot. The new box will keep the name and contents of the old box but not its custom color.

Trivia[]
- The contents of Metal Storage cannot be accessed by a helper.
- The Wooden Storage and the Safety Box have the same usage as the Metal Storage. They have 20 and 60 storage slots, respectively.
- The Helper's Storage Box has 60 storage slots, but unlike the storage boxes mentioned above, it can be accessed by a helper.
- Any placed Wooden Storage can be upgraded to a Metal Storage by interacting with the Wooden Storage while holding a Metal Storage in an active item slot.
