Mint also sends the player a Mini-Drill as a gift once they become buddies with him. Next day after reaching the buddy status the player will receive a letter in the mail with the Mini-Drill attached:

“	Hey Player, I just want to say thanks for being a friend to me during my time at Portia. I really, really appreciate it! I've been coming and going to different places all my life, so it's nice to have a friend. Anyway, I wanted to give you this Mini-Drill, one friend to another, it should be very helpful to you when you go ruin diving. Enjoy!	„

Usage

Mini-Drill can be used as a tool or gifted.

Tool

The player can put the Mini-Drill in an active inventory slot and use it for quarrying rocks or mining in the Abandoned Ruins. Mini-Drill boosts the player's Attack by 300 when equipped. Mini-Drill has a fairly wide range and works much faster than any pickaxe for mining.

Using the Mini-Drill consumes 4 ⁠⁠ per hit. That stamina cost is not affected by Mastery of Pickaxe gathering skill, but the Mini-Drill's damage can be increased by Expert Electrician skill, allowing the player to mine faster and spend Stamina more efficiently.

Gift

Mini-Drill can be given as a gift to other characters.
