Safety Box is a furniture item used to store other items. It has 60 storage slots.

Obtaining Edit

Safety Box can be crafted using the Worktable after the player obtains its recipe book as a reward for donating 30 items to Portia Museum and then collecting it as a donation reward.

Usage Edit

Safety Box is used for storing other items. It can also be recycled.


Safety Box can be placed on the ground anywhere inside the player's house or their yard. The player can store items inside. Safety Box has 60 storage slots: 2 pages with 30 slots each.

It is possible to customize the name and color of each Safety Box placed in the workshop. The name can be changed by interacting with it, while the color can be changed by interacting with it while holding Pigments in an active item slot.


Safety Box can be placed in the Recycle Machine to produce the following items:

Safety Box can be given as a gift to other characters. It is a universally neutral gift.

Trivia Edit

  • The Safety Box has the same number of storage slots as the Helper's Storage Box, thus, they are tied for being the two most spacious storage methods in My Time at Portia. However, the Helper's Storage Box can be accessed by a helper.
  • The contents of Safety Box cannot be accessed by a helper.
  • The Wooden Storage and the Metal Storage have the same usage as the Safety Box. They have 20 and 30 storage slots respectively.
  • Any Wooden Storage or Metal Storage can be upgraded to a Safety Box in place by interacting with it while holding a Safety Box in an active item slot.
