The Somber Marsh is a late-game area that is home to both a Hazardous Ruin and Abandoned Ruin, as well as some unique monsters and gatherable items.
A Dee-Dee Stop can be placed in the Somber Marsh so that the player may fast-travel there via the Dee-Dee Transport System.
Unlocking[]
The Somber Marsh is unlocked after finishing the questline that starts with Road to the Marsh.
WARNING: If the player's Tree Farm is bugged and never unlocked, the player should not choose the western (harder) route during the mission, as they will be unable to proceed.

Somber Marsh Abandoned Ruins[]

The Somber Marsh Abandoned Ruins are the fourth discovered ruins, located to the left of the western bridge to the Somber Marsh. Many unique Relic Pieces are found here.
These ruins are inaccessible until after completing The Third Key.
Deepest Ruin[]

The Deepest Ruin is a late-game Hazardous Ruin with many enemies and floors for the player to conquer, taking days to complete entirely. Each floor consumes one hour of in-game time, which allows for a maximum of 19 floors per day.
It is one of the easiest places to earn experience and rare relic materials, such as Carbon Fiber and Military Engines, as well as other items, such as Diamonds and Sapphires, as loot. The player can also earn unique weapons and achievements here.
Fishing spot[]

The Somber Marsh has one fishing spot.
The Somber Marsh fishing spot is on the bottom left corner of the Right Island. The player can fish there anytime after completing the mission Road to the Marsh. This fishing spot can be reached in a fairly short time with the aid of the Collapsed Wasteland Dee-Dee Stop and/or a horse.
